Video: Bugatti Veyron plunges into lagoon in the US

With 1001hp at its disposal and a price tag well into the millions of dollars, the Bugatti Veyron certainly demands attention wherever it goes.
Unfortunately for one Veyron owner in the United States, this meant his most disastrous moment was caught on tape as his hypercar plunged into two feet of saltwater.
Earlier reports stated that the driver was startled by a low-flying pelican whilst talking on his mobile phone, although this latest video shows the Veyron casually leaving the road without prior incident.
No doubt this new evidence of the events leading up to the crash will wreak havoc on his insurance claim, resulting in one very expensive public service announcement about the dangers of driving while using a mobile phone.

First video is truly incredible. How they managed to be there at the exact right moment still astounds me! Would that have been filmed on a mobile, because it is pretty high quality. Unless it was set up beforehand, as part of some twisted way to attract media attention or some sort of insurance scam, which in this instance is seeming quite likely.

Maybe he found out about the Zenvo and decided to ditch his car – literally.
The owner & driver of the car, Andy House, owns a company that specializes in “exotics salvage”. There was no Pelican. The road was dead straight. My bet is it was some kind of stunt like “balloon boy”. It is quite possible the video of the moment was genuine passer by. The reactions sound real and pretty much everyone has a video cellphone now.
What a retard! Bugatti should, have him bumped off!
