as of jan 23 that is not accurate; koenigsegg put in an offer that has been rejected several times and currently Spyker of Holland is making an offer, also Ecclestone (F1) has put in a bid of $1. Saab is still owned by GM and are unwilling to sell. They would rather see the brand disappear. THey are some of the dumbest people, not just in the car industry. Can’t wait to see what happens to the brand they own in my country; Holden, keep an eye on it, they are reluctant to follow the market and keep building large sedans with V6 & V8 are sales are dropping. Don;t expect them to be around 10 years from now. At least if the Chinese own stuff we will see mass cheap junk production untill the Chinese Dynasty has been rebuilt and then we will see mass dictatorship and monopoly; white man will be working the rice fields driving Chinese emperors and concubines around in expensive cars that were once built around the world, such as volvo.

I agree, there is nothing similar about them… You could even compare the shape of a cars DLO and say one has copied the other…. The design intention has always been in the concept car, and now it’s come through on production.

Hate the colour but love the styling apart from the front overhang which looks slightly excessive but that is fairly common these days, hope they do an R version of it.

Looks good. I’m glad Volvo stuck as close as possible to the concept, it annoys me when car companies suggest the production vehicle will look exactly like the concept and it doesn’t.

This does look good. Has the modern Volvo look, stylised a bit more than the older models but looks pretty much individual too. (and nothing like a E Class – unlike UK comments above…)

I hope they sell well. Volvo deserves better than what the public perception is.

Being a new platform, I am very interested to see what the inside looks like as the interior of a current Volvo is a nice place to be.

(and no, I am not a Volvo dealer !)
