Audi RS6 Avant (Wagon) at the ring

August 16, 2007 by Alborz Fallah

Our friends at Car Magazine (UK) have caught the new RS6 Avant Wagon testing at Germany’s famous Nürburgring track.

Audi RS6 Avant

Powered by a twin-turbo 5.2-litre V10, this is no ordinary wagon – with around 390kW of power and over 650Nm of torque, the RS6 wagon is a family car for the Schumakers. 0-100km/hr in around 4.6 seconds (putting the RS6 in the same league as cheaper Lamborghinis and Ferraris).

Audi hopes to outdo Mercedes and BMW by delivering a wagon with more power than the BMW M5 and Mercedes AMG E63.

The RS6 will use the latest Quattro All-Wheel-Drive technology from Audi (albeit with a bias to the rear) coupled to a revised version of the TT’s magnetic ride system. Of course you get the usual carbon ceramic brake discs and the like.

The car will be on display at the Frankfurt motorshow and we will be there to bring you the latest news and photos.

  1. Steve says:

650Nm of torque! In a wagon!

    I love it

  2. For one the RS6 is going to be biased to the rear not the front… and it may be nose heavy but so is the B7 RS4 and that car handles amazingly well for having a 57%/43% weight distribution.
