I can say that this thing does MUCH fast than 6.2s 0-100km/h — Tested my self, throw it in Sport shift with commandshift and Dynamic mode on the terrain dial, hit that pedal and I got 5.4s with my little dashmounted computer/timer.

An armored version of this very capable off-road and fast on-road 4WD would be great in Iraq, Afghanistan or other conflict zones!

Looks like a great ride. I’m surprised that anyone would be shocked at what a gas guzzler this vehicle is. Any vehicle labeled “supercharged” is basically saying the vehicle is a drunkard. That’s just the way it is and you can’t change it.

I was quite shocked to find that the fuel consumption had barely improved from that drunkard of a 4.2L Supercharged V8.
I personally would have been dealing with that FIRST as JLR… Its HORRENDOUS!

But I guess when you buy a car with “Luxury SUV” and “Supercharged” badges, you havent the slightest care about fuel consumption, so my point is moot.

Possibly my favourite car at the moment, JLR has come a long way, lucky Tata! What a beautiful amazing car.

Have their reliability improved properly? Just five years ago they were shoddy as hell and as far as I can see now, thats the only thing keeping them off top spot in best 4WD’s around in ANY category.

The base model uses the same motor as the diesel Jag XF

with 180kW/600Nm on tap does anyone really want for more?

If you are the least bit concerned about fuel consumption, then you would surely choose either of the diesel variants, both of which pack plenty of grunt.

My dear Jimmy,

The only vehicle that I know of that wouldn’t lean a little when full throttle during a 90 degree turn, is a an F1 car.

If you read the article properly, you will understand that at high speed into sweeping bends, the Sport Supercharged will not roll. For a vehicle of these dimensions and weight to perform outstandingly both off road and on the tarmac, is unique in the market.
