Having purchased a diesel Santa Fe in June this year,my first suv and Hyundai,I just love the vehicle. After the 1000 km service, connected the 16 ft Regent caravan and headed around the block. We have completed 20596km and am totally convinced that the decision to go Hyundai was correct. We travelled with Territory, six speed autos,Pajero diesels, auto and toyota cruiser,5 speed manual petrol.
Had two services Seven thousand, oil and filter change at Broome.Esperence had 15000 service.Nothing has fallen off,no repairs were needed, had a wheel alignment as many k,s of dirt were encounted. The drivers of the above vehicles all drove the Hyundai,to see why I raved about it,and were all surprised as to how well it drove. The fuel consumption was 12 14lts per 100km,s,depending on the headwind.this was by the best of all the vehicles in the convoy. The petrol vehicles recorded up to 23 25 lires per 100km.The Pajero's were aroud 15 19 l/100km,s.Now I will have a test drive of the soon to be released Santer Fe with 6 speed auto and extra 80 odd nm of torque.I only used fourth gear for the trip, being new engine etc.Yes I am very pleased with my Hyundai and understand why the sales figures are as good as the are.

Its time you all stopped being badge snobs and looked at the product. Yes mud sticks but it also washes off. In the 60s & 70s most cars had rust on them after two three years its now 2009. Quality grows with experience, research and finance.

I don't get the point of skoda, its just recycled VW tech made by cheap labour.
Why not just buy the original? The golfs out of germany are awesome quality, they can match or better the top japanese quality. (The golfs from south africa where a mistake)

2007? buy a 'new' car with 2 years depreciation built into it.

Back on topic, well done Hyundai, there is a smart company!
