MAZDA3 LOOKS AWFUL. LOOK AT THE SALES FIGURES OF THE NEW CAR COMPARED TO THE OLD ONE. YOU WILL FIND THEY HAVE DROPPED. GO THE CRUSE.

Never had any such issues with my '98 Mazda (metallic blue). No fading/flaking and it still has a great shine to it.

It all comes down to how well you look after your car. Leave any car out in the Australian sun without polishing etc and it will deteriorate, some moreso than others. 90's model Commodores come to mind.

the new mazda might look weird in photos but they actually look quite modern and sophisticated in flesh. this is why mazda is doing so well as oppose to ford and holden who are struggling for sales because they make cars that target a wide variety of age group. alot of people i know who purchased a mazda 3 don't even know how to check the oil level. most people who don't like the shape of the car are mainly car enthusiast who do lots of research on different cars and unfortunately there are not many out there. the ones who buy new cars are the ones who are happy just to be able to get from a to b without any problem with the cars.

As a former owner of 3 Golfs I can objectively advise against that idea...stick with a Jap car as I had to endure countless electrical issues, breakdowns and expensive service costs with Golfs

That Mazda 3 looks ridiculous, like a caricature. Thank god the front number plate hides that goofy grin.

Mazda is to be congratulated for its daring designs.

I would definatley consider a Mazda 3 MPS :)

Only one question, the last of the old 323's had issues with metallic paint flaking/fading in the sun, which the non-metallic colours did not have. Has Mazda fixed that?
