2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 pricing announced: Souped-up trio here from October

Local pricing for the new 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 range has been officially announced, kicking off at $101,900 plus on-road costs for the sedan body style.


The announcement confirms prices that surfaced online last week, for the sedan and wagon versions.

Available in sedan, wagon and coupe forms, the the C43 gives customers a more affordable entry point into the AMG-badged C-Class range.

The more practical wagon adds $2500, starting at $104,400 plus on-road costs, while the stylish coupe adds another $1215 at $105,615 plus on-roads.

Standard equipment on all versions of the C43 includes a head-up display (HUD), AMG ‘Night’ package, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, AMG sports suspension, a sports exhaust system, full-LED headlights, panoramic sliding glass sunroof, Burmester sound system, Comand navigation system with online functionality, along with heated front seats.

Also included are nine airbags, semi-autonomous emergency braking, driver assistance package plus, active lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring, an active bonnet and a 360-degree surround camera system.

The C43 is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6, producing 270kW of power and 520Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels through a reworked version of the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

0-100km/h is completed in 4.7 seconds for the sedan and coupe, while the wagon is a fraction slower at 4.8 seconds.

First deliveries of the Mercedes-AMG C43 will arrive in October.
