New Subaru WRX, STI could arrive second half 2013
The new Subaru WRX and STI sports models will emerge from Japan around 18 months after the launch of the all-new Subaru Impreza.
The new WRX and STI will be completely separate from the Impreza range, in much the same way the upcoming Subaru XV will break away from the Impreza model line-up.
Subaru separates Impreza from WRX & STI
With the launch of the fourth generation Subaru Impreza, the Japanese company will separate the Impreza model from the WRX and STI variants. Whilst the new 2012 Subaru Impreza naturally aspirated models will go on sale as soon as supply production from Japan is sorted, the WRX and STI variants will continue to be sold in the third generation shape...
2011 Subaru WRX & WRX STI launched
Subaru Australia has launched two new turbo twins to Australia’s motoring press today, which will be followed by a hard core track session at the fast-paced Phillip Island circuit, tomorrow.
I can’t say that I’ve been a huge fan of the current hatch version of the stock WRX, so the introduction of a four-door sedan and hatch with STI...
Subaru Impreza WRX Club Spec 10 limited edition arrives next month
The 2010 special edition Subaru Impreza WRX Club Spec 10 will go on sale from next month.
The latest in a long-running series of limited edition WRX models, the WRX Club Spec 10 features a range of technical enhancements from Subaru Tecnica International (STI), and additional luxury features inside the cabin.
Kinda looks like a Camry front welded to a Proton Gen2 rear… I miss the old Rex already.

On the bright side the resale value of the older WRX’s is going to be improved.
I think if it didn’t come with stock altezza rear lights and had something a little more normal it would look much better.
Steve
Sad…its just not nice at all.

If I just crawled out from under a rock and saw that I’d crawl back under the rock and wait another ten years.
I’d rather drive a Daihatsu Sirion GTVi then that abortion of a motor vehicle.

As a current WRX owner,
I have to say, this is one big and major disappointment!

A camry had sex with a BMW 1 series and this is the result.

Plain ugly – poor design – target missed – not even a step sideways – def a step backwards.
Spy shots of the Lancer have been hanging around for AGES… Subaru have no excuse for not seeing that car coming and this is the best they can come up with???
The new EVO is now in a league of it’s own.

Man oh man… what is wrong with all you guys!!! The Red Golf GTI looks hot… as for that grey car well butch and looks like Falcon grille, Camry lights on front with a non-aggressive front bumper bar that came off an earlier Magna crossed with a Mazda 3 up the side and the butt of a Proton Gen2 = crap – ugly – butch – abortion of a disaster. I WOULD RATHER DRIVE A Daihatsu Sirion GTVi or Proton GEN2!

Please excuse me whilst I projectile vomit everywhere.

Damn that’s ugly! Even some Korean cars look better than that! I would swear than came out of the same factory as a Proton Savvy or similar.
Alex
Mate, I was there, I took those photos today and compared to the superceded model I thought it looked hot. Very stylish and slick. Meatheads will lament.
Azza
Ok! At first i thought that the new WRX looked really good… I was wrong! What were they thinking!?
However I still believe that it is the engine that counts… (repeat this continuously and you will believe it!!!)

boring boring boring diatribe

Alex… mate if you think that car is hot, you are forgetting the WRX was in some previous forms aggressive, bit bizarre in some models, but mainly aggressive. If you like it and say it is better in the metal means you forget what it stands for. It is too bland and cardigan material… you better get your cardigan and buy one!
Alex
Roberto
For the record I have never owned or wore cardigan in my life but I take your point. Anyway I’m happy at themoment with my XR6T and won’t be buying a WRX. As they say beauty and (ugliness) is the eye of the beholder
http://. ROBERTO
Mate, in your case must be beerholder as you said it looks good. Not aggressive enough a car is my point and yes Iam only joking for a laugh as that is what this mediocre car is aimed at: tartan hat wearing person who has a spiffy safari suit or cardigan to fit off the Spring cold. XR6T is more aggressive you must admit.
So Ugly, oh so ugly
My name says it all…
BTW, if ever this become model car, my 4 yo son would cry if I got him one. Pls get this sort of car off the treet and off the toy shelves.

SUBARU should change the name of this car to your name on this website
Chris
I’m in the market for a new sports car. True, they’re fast, but you need the complete package. Subaru’s are a long way behind with interior / exterior styling. Ugly. I’d rather have an older model.
