We have the sportage diesel, averaging 7.3 litres around town, better on trips (but not much). Mate took a 2008 model across the Simpson Desert, only modes, different tyres, and lift with suspension. Made it there and back, 90 litres of fuel for the 500km, only one recovery from bogging down in sand. No mechanical or other problems.
Ours similarly reliable and comfortable and we live in far western NSW.
Impressive how it can safely cruise on dirt corragated roads at 100km an hour safely and with comfort.
Any problems, none so far, but the plastic trim is a bit easy to mark.
With 5 year warrantee and unlimited Km not a bad buy for a diesel SUV with a bit of toughness.

The sportage's look great i think, i'd do anything to get one. I do believe the Territory's are a lot better looking. Whats beter is a naked hottie in the back seat, yummy. xox

I absolutely detest 4WD vehicles with the black body cladding. It makes the vehicle look so low rent.

I'm glad that less and less 4WDs have it these days, but it's still present.

About just as bad are the 'accent' coloured bumpers on the base and mid model Ford Territorys. They just look disgusting, and personally, it's a crime to charge more money just for some body coloured bumpers.

I mean, the 'accent' coloured bumpers have paint on them, so Ford isn't saving any money regardless. So why not just make body coloured bumpers standard? It'll make the vehicle look much better.

It's not like the base model Territory doesn't look like a fleet car already, with the wheels that look like it comes off a ute and the black headlights.
