I invite those interested to use the Porsche Car Configure and realize that these are extras that the Design Edition has included in their price:

Alacantara roofliner
3 spoke steering wheel
Alcantara wrapped steering wheel
Alcantara shifter
Alcantara handbrake
Black painted trim throughout
Aluminum door sills
Solid red tailights
PASM
19" turbo wheels
Embossed logo in seats
ALL leather interior
Black painted center console
Wheel spacers
Color matching floor mats
Headlight washers
Auto dimming mirrors....

all of these things come standard on Desgin Edition. They are all extras on the Cayman S. Included on my particular one (237/777) is also PCM with Phone module and Trip module. Inasmuch that Porsche packaged 777 of these, they did so at a retail cost that is much less then if you ordered a Cayman S similarily equipped. Cool, huh?

I bought a Design Edition last week and love it! Seems all the reveiws are a bit misleading, so allow me to clarify some things. All the revies say it caost 10K more (USD) then the standard Cayman S. This is misleading. The fact of the matter is that it is actually a bargain. To equip a standard Cayman S to equal the amenities my Design Edition has, would cost $84,418 USD and would NOT include the $7,200 worth of free goodies they give you (breifcase, watch, glasses, etc). The price of mine was $78,930 Truth of the matter is, the Design Edition is a bargain! (and a real head turner to boot)! (the glasses look goofy on me...lol)

What an awesome looking car. I was told the Cayman S was the gun handler in the Porsche road car line-up. This should be even better!
