2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo leaked ahead of debut next week

Although the world certainly hasn't been left wanting for teasers and spy photos of the second-generation Porsche Panamera, undisguised photos were leaked onto the internet overnight, and give us our clearest look yet at the next-gen model.

These latest images, which we initially found via Motor1, show the exterior and parts of the interior of the new Panamera Turbo in showroom-ready trim.

As earlier spy photos have indicated, and these new photos confirm, the new 'sedan' doesn't stray too far from the design script laid out by the first-generation vehicle.

Porsche has, however, fixed one of the main visual faux pas of the original Panamera by giving the second-generation model a more raked back tailgate, resulting in a less bulbous look around the rear.

Up front there's a set of LED headlights, while the rear benefits from a slimline set of tail-lights.

While the leaked photo set doesn't include any images of the car's dashboard, we know from an earlier leak that the new car will feature capacitive controls and a more streamlined feel.

The car in today's leak also features a rear-seat entertainment package that includes capacitive controls. The instrument panel, at least on the Turbo, features an analogue tachometer flanked by high resolution multifunction displays.

Under the bonnet, the Panamera Turbo will feature a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. V6 engines will slot in underneath, while diesel and hybrid options will also be available.

The Panamera is the first vehicle to be built atop the Porsche-developed MSB component matrix for rear- and all-wheel-drive vehicles. MSB will, in time, underpin a range of cars from across the Volkswagen Group, including the next-gen Bentley Continental.

If you're still not satisfied with this latest look at the next-generation Panamera, there's not long to go before the car is revealed in all of its high-definition glory, with the grand unveiling set for the evening of June 28, European time.

The new Panamera will be available as both a five-door hatch and a new wagon variant. Australian sales probably won't begin until some time in 2017.
