Tokyo Motor Show general gallery

With the Tokyo Motor Show now open to the public, we thought we’d give you a look around some of the general exhibits of the show, including some CNG and EV inner-city vehicles from manufacturer CT&T.
Also on display were cars by Alpina, Lotus (with their sexy Elise Stealth) and Toyota’s original hybrid car, the 1977 Sports 800 GT (gas-turbine, not Grand Touring) Hybrid.
This one-off prototype developed 22kW from its gas turbine engine that was connected to a generator, which fed an electric motor connected to a two- speed gearbox.
