Citroen C4 Picasso and Peugeot 308 recalled for door lock fix

Related French manufacturers Citroen and Peugeot are recalling vehicles from their current-generation C4 Picasso MPV and ‘T9’ 308 hatchback lines over concerns the doors may not close properly or unexpectedly open.

The 21 affected Citroen C4 Picassos and 90 Peugeot 308s are reported to possibly have faulty door locks as a result of a manufacturing issue.

Citroen and Peugeot say that the internal mechanism could potentially cause one or more locks to jam, which could prevent the vehicle’s doors from closing, or to unlock and open unexpectedly.

If the vehicle’s door locks fail it could increase the risk of injury to the occupants or a third party.

The VIN numbers of the affected C4 Picassos can be viewed here, affected Peugeot 308 VINs are listed here.

Owners of the affected vehicles are urged to contact their local Citroen or Peugeot dealer to have their door locks checked and repaired if necessary.
