Wht is the Prius so expensive in Australia compaired to the US? Even allowing import duty (and exchange rate) they are about 25% more expensive.

I hope to see the Kluger and Camry hybrids brought here from the States. Perhaps the technology will later on trickle down to the Corolla.

I love my Prius – it consistently lets me drive more than 1000km per tank.

My old Suzuki 500 motorbike used to do about 4.5l/100km, now I have 5 passenger comfort with whisper quiet travelling at better fuel consumption.

I am just waiting for photovoltaic cells to be added so the battery can recharge in the carpark.
