F1-plated Bugatti Veyron headlines MPH Show in UK
October 21, 2009 by George Skentzos
A rare pure white example of the Bugatti Veyron, complete with exclusive F1 number plates, will be the main attraction at this year’s MPH Show featuring Top Gear Live in the UK.
Owned by Afzal Kahn, the man behind bespoke tuning house Project Kahn, this Veyron is strictly a case of ‘if you need to ask the price, you can’t afford it’.
The ultra exclusive F1 number plates were purchased at auction by Mr Kahn for the princely sum of $721,743 which was headline news in itself.
Mr Kahn insists that despite headlining the MPH Show the car is not for sale, although he is hoping it would be the perfect car for newly crowned Formula One champion Jenson Button since it features the most expensive number plate sold in the UK.
Alongside the F1 Veyron at the MPH Show will be the radical GTbyCITROËN Concept, as well as scorching examples from Pagani and Koenigsegg.
The Ferrari FXX, Lamborghini GT600 and Pagani Zonda R are also rumoured to be making an appearance at the Prestige and Performance Motor Show.

Even with all the tasteless body kits and over sized chrome wheels in the world, I don’t think there’s anything wankier to put on your car other than liscence plates that cost $721,743.
Agree, however, if you can afford it why not?
He should have atleast used the F1 number plate on a Ferrari or McLaren.
VW are to afraid to get their a** kicked if they enter F1.
It’s definitely a main attraction in that MPH show. Just look at this car, it’s awesome!
If a car would look like this, there’s no question that it would be extremely expensive…lucky for those who can afford this cool car…
This Car is simply amazing. The best feat in Automotive history after the invention of Internal Combustion Engine.
F1 or not, there is no denying this is the ultimate advancement in Automotive technology.
Hail Volkswagen …….. They smoked all other temperamental difficult Supercars to the abyss …..
@ Floyd above …
Please check your facts … Volkswagen and any Car in its subsidiary is not inclined to be in Formula 1. Same goes for the awesome Porsches … So, don’t be so rude …..
They are unbeatable in different categories of the Sports Car racing. Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Seat, Skoda or Volkswagen itself. Show me the last time a Ferrari has beaten a Porsche or Audi in any of the races they are competing together.
Its unfortunate that the Lamborghini is ideologically against Motorsports. Else there could be very easily another feather furling in Volkswagen’s Cap. Recently Privateers have many times proved this fact by competing in Lambos and coming up victor.
So, the final fact remains that VW group is the best Automaker in the World & Bugatti Veyron is the best Supercar.
Well said and completely accurate infact Porsche ( if I’m not wrong) have won more accolades in racing than any other car manufacturer.
