The 2016 Proton Suprima S hatchback and Exora MPV ranges have been given minor refreshes, with prices of Suprima S models slashed and the Exora gaining new equipment.

For this update, the base Suprima S GXA now starts at $17,990 drive away, well down on the previous $21,790 drive away price. The upper-spec GXRA can now be had for $20,990 drive away, almost $6,000 less than the 2014/15 figure.

Though pricing remains unchanged for the 2016 Exora MPV range, it receives some new standard equipment, and deletes some of the previously standard items on the features list.

The Exora GXA now comes standard with a reversing camera, daytime-running lights and smoked-style headlights. However, the base Exora loses the rear DVD system and alloy wheels that were previously included. Pricing is unchanged at $25,990 drive-away – retaining the Exora’s status as Australia’s cheapest seven-seater.

Stepping up to the Exora GXRA adds a new grey leather trim for the interior, smoked door mirrors, tailgate trim and alloy wheels. The GXRA also gains protective door mouldings, while retaining its $27,990 drive away price.

Both the Proton Suprima S and Exora have been on sale in Australia since late 2013/early 2014, and remain largely unchanged since first hitting the local market.
