Ferrari 458 MM Speciale one-off revealed

The Ferrari 458 MM Speciale, a one-off special vehicle created for an unnamed "enthusiastic British" client, was revealed overnight with a redesigned body wrapped around the mechanicals of the 458 Speciale.

The buyer requested a "visor effect for the glasshouse", which lead to Ferrari making extensive changes to the car's aluminium body.

In addition to blacking out the A-pillars, the Italian supercar maker flattened out the side window graphics, and gave greater definition to the belt line creases.

Thanks to the more sharply raked roof, Ferrari also had to endow the MM with side air intakes.

Add these modifications to the triangular cutaway between the doors and the new side sills, and the 458 MM Speciale's side profile brings to mind the Lotus Evora.

At the front, the 458 MM Speciale has a new set of headlights and revised front fenders without any vents.

Out the back, the MM has a redesigned rear spoiler that wraps around a revised set of tail-lights.

The composite carbon-fibre bumpers have also been redesigned, with the rear set gaining the most attention with a new design and a completely redone diffuser. The stripe down the centre of the car pays homage to the Italian flag.

Although Ferrari hasn't released any imagery of the 458 MM Speciale's interior, it apparently includes a new audio system, Cioccolato leather with white stitching, and white accents around the controls on the centre tunnel.

Ferrari hasn't indicated that any changes were made to the 458 Speciale drivetrain. That means that the MM probably features a 4.5-litre V8 with 445kW of power and 540Nm of torque, which drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission
