2017 Peugeot 3008 revealed in teaser image, unveiling due tonight

The all-new 2017 Peugeot 3008 has surfaced again, this time in a shadowy teaser image posted to the Facebook page of one of the car maker's suppliers.

The new 3008 was last seen in a short, low-quality video covertly snapped in a Peugeot facility, while spy photos published in the past year have also given buyers an idea of what to expect from the new model.

As those earlier images revealed and this new teaser now confirms, the next-generation 3008 will debut with a more conventional SUV design that does away with the jacked-up-hatch look of the current eight-year-old model.

This new image, modified above to reveal more detail, shows that the 3008 will wear an evolution of the new family styling that debuted with the light 208 and the small 308. The look has since migrated to a number of other Peugeot models.

A large silver skid plate can be seen at the front, while the profile view showcases large flared guards, a tall beltline and a 'floating roof' above the glasshouse.

It is already known that the new 3008 will ride on the same EMP2 architecture that underpins the 308 range, and the recently revealed new-generation i-Cockpit is expected to make its production debut with this model.

The new 3008 is expected to make its official premiere later tonight, Australian time. Watch for details right here at CarAdvice.
