Would love to see the Challenger in Aus. We pay way too much for cars.... Love the HSV, but $80+k for a GTS. When I could be buying in the US a Supercharged Camaro or SRT8 Challengerfor half the price....

I'm a young Aussie chick, I've been living in America for just over a year and I just got my first car... A Dodge, Challenger R/T. I'm so in love with my car!! It makes me sad that Australia is missing out on this awesome muscle car:( Come on Dodge! Hook the Aussie's up with Dodge, Challengers and Chargers!! It will work wonders for the American economy, as I would think demand would be high!!

I cant understand why this car isnt in Aus/Nz yet. It would sell like hotcakes... I would buy one !!! Its frustrating that the only option for rhd atm is a $130k conversion..

Take a look at Norm's website again, his first picture converted to RHD is ok, but the second one in the blue, just look at the letterts, the word challenger and srt are flipped, sorry to say its a flipped image and he doesn't seem that trusty if he has to post fakes

I am looking to import a Dodge Challenger - does anyone know if it really needs to be converted to RHD if driven in Australia?

I am to believe from the comments below that Norm Clarke does sell them, visited his website and must say not very impressed. No pictures, makes, etc

I don't know where some of you guys are getting your information from, $195,000.00 for a Challenger left to right conversion? another guy here is talking "A local conversion is really pretty inexpensive ... $5,000.00". Well there are quite a few available for sale in Aus already, the highest price I've seen is at Norm Clarke Automotive and that's $140,000.00 with compliance (unregistered) so we can safely say that the conversion is not $195,000.00. I have read in an ad at carpoint.com that a 2008 Challenger which was selling for $69,000.00 still LHD would be $30,000.00 to convert to RHD. Prices are all over the place, the only way anyone is going to pay the real value of one of these beasts which is road legal in Aus is to make an agreement with workshop who is RAWS acredited to source a car in the States themselves, pay for it and let the workshop bring it into the country, you pay all costs plus an agreed amount for the RHD conversion and when the car is ready you take it away, register and enjoy. From what I can work out doing this will save many, many thousands of dollars.
