2013 Holden Trax recalled for wiring issue

Holden is recalling six vehicles from its 2013-model year ‘TJ’ Trax SUV line over concerns that loose wiring could affect the car’s steering.

The car maker reports that, due to a manufacturing fault, an electrical wiring harness connector may not be completely secured to the steering column.

As a result, certain driving manoeuvres could cause the connector to disconnect, increasing the effort required to steer the vehicle. The fault also sets off a visible warning on the driver’s instrument cluster.

If the fault occurs and the driver experiences difficulty steering, this could increase the risk of an accident.

Affected Trax vehicles were manufactured between the 28th of January 2013 and 14th of February 2013, in the VIN ranges KL3BA7659DB103061 to KL3BF7659DB109074.

Owners of the six vehicles will be notified by mail. For more information customers can contact Holden customer care on 1800 033 349.
