I remember reading a review of the Niki, I think in the NRMA’s Open Road mag. The 0-40, 0-60 etc times were all listed, except for the 0-100, where is simply said ‘didn’t make it’.

NOT a H.O.S, they sold MILLIONS of them, got Poland mobile.

I drove a Niki/FSM [still have the owners manual] for over 6 months.

@ 100kmh it was like a Ferrari @ 350kmh, VERY spooky, lol!

Had more interior/leg room in it than a Falcon Coupe, figure that out!

Everflex soft-top was great, as was parking, low fuel use, u-turns, bypassing boom gates etc etc, all great fun!

No synchro on 1st and manual choke was a bit of a let down, people *trying* to lift it up got on my nerves a bit too!

Other than that sad to see it gone, had no further use.

Well people did buy the niki 650 for 7 grand in the 90′s
which was a far bigger heap of s**t than the nano.

If you have been to India as i have and driven on their roads, then you understand that this car is absolutley vital for the people in India. It is not uncommon to see at least six or seven people in a Rickshaw or five to a bike. This car will at least allow new Indian family to get out of the elements and sit in comfort of a closed vehicle.

For the knockers of this car, once you have seen a family of 4 crammed onto one scooter (as their regular means of transport) you get the perspective of who this car is aimed at. A seat for everyone, Luxury.
