2017 Range Rover Sport facelift spied inside and out

The upcoming facelift for the second-generation Range Rover Sport has been spotted by our spies outside the Nurburgring in Germany.

This latest prototype was spotted a few days after our photography team nabbed the facelifted Range Rover Sport SVR out on the streets.

Compared to the SUV currently in showrooms across the world, the revised Range Rover Sport has a more aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes, as well as a more two-dimensional honeycomb grille.

Although there's camouflage plastered down this car's flanks, we don't expect any sheetmetal changes to occur, although Jaguar Land Rover might update the look of the side vent and sills.

Updates to the Sport's tail-lights and rear bumper might also be part of the mix, but they aren't present on this prototype.

Inside, the updated Range Rover Sport has a larger infotainment screen, which is likely to be the company's new 10.2-inch inControl Touch Pro infotainment system, which is already featured in the updated Range Rover EvoqueJaguar XE and the larger second-generation XF.

Expect upgrades to the rest of the car's safety and technology package. Improvements to the V6 and V8 petrol and diesel powertrains are also likely.

The facelifted Range Rover Sport range is expected to debut in the latter half of 2016, with sales beginning down under either at the end of the year or the beginning of 2017.
