I have had problems with my Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd 2004. Within 2months it went through 2 x vacuum pumps, a water pump and the power winder on the drivers side window. It has done 200,000kms. Anyone else had similar problems?
I am having a problem with my aircon. operation that the dealer hadnt heard of. When the air control is set to the feet position the aircon comes on.The dealer looked at me as if I had two heads when I tried to convince them of the problem. The tested 3 others and found the same problem. I suggest all readers check their aircon operation as you could be wasting fuel.
I just was about to purchase a 2006 jeep liberty until i found out of the recall the dealer told me the car has werrinty n i still fix this problem
I have a 2007 Cherokee CRD Limited.
A “bulletin” on a rear brake problem has been issued. The fix includes new caliper brackets and disk machining to remove the grooves caused by the pads dragging.
Does anyone know when this bulletin was first released?

I have a 2003 Jeep Cherokee Ltd and recently (after 3 years) the central heating control unit isnt blowing heat anymore. The dealer tells me it could be the Blend doors and/or motor which control the direction of the air. They also gave me the news it would cost $2500 to fix. This includes $1000 of manual labour to remove the dash. I cannot believe Jeep would design such a dash which would require removal just to inspect problem. Has anybody had similar problems? What is the cheapest option? Can I complain to Jeep?
Search on ebay for heater treater…140 bucks…changes controls to use drivers side only….very nice upgrade…takes 1 hr…did mine last month
Have only just caught up with this site but it may help someone in the future. Had the same problem with my 2003 Grand Cherokee.
After some investigation I established that it is a very common fault.
Although out of warranty I Jeep Australia eventually agreed
to pay for labour if I paid for parts. ($300 – A repair kit that provides upgraded parts supposedly for all flaps
in the system not only the brocken one.)
The problem is that the flaps that control air flow break
where the actuator rods are connected.
I understand that in the US it is a “known fault” and is repaired by Jeep.
DOES ANYONE WITH A C R D JEEP 2006 HAVE NOISY FRONT BRAKES WHEN THEY GET ”WET” ie RAIN OR CREEK CROSSINGS.. THIS IS PROBLEM NUMBER 19.

I have paid 1,200.00 on this repair already. What can I do ? I thank you all for any help in this matter. Ms. DJ
