2010 Mazda2 facelift revealed in official press release

While the original Mazda2 premiered the brand's funky new design direction, subsequent updates to the remainder of the Mazda model line-up featured the now trademark 'smiley grille' - notably absent from the Mazda2.

Now it has been confirmed that a refreshed Mazda2 will incorporate the happy front end treatment, bringing it in line with the rest of the range which most recently includes the Mazda3.

The upper grille and foglight surrounds have also been refreshed, becoming larger and more integrated with the overall design.
