Lego releases Porsche 911 GT3 RS Technic set

It's a glorious time to be alive. The skies are blue, the birds are singing, and Lego has finally released its Lava Orange 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Technic set.

Officially licensed from Porsche, set number 42056 features over 2700 pieces including a set of replica Porsche wheels and a branded luggage set under the front bonnet.

The build is designed to mimic that of the real car, and it includes working steering, suspension and the flat-six engine with a functioning PDK transmission.

The GT3 RS is the latest in a line of cool Lego car kits launching this year, which includes the Caterham 7 and a range of Ford models.

Due to hit stores from June, the Lego Porsche is expected to cost around $500 in Australia. So start saving, as the line starts here!
