August 3, 2007 by George Skentzos

Since its debut in 2005, Land Rover’s most performance-oriented vehicle yet has been a phenomenal success.

Last year the Range Rover Sport was the highest selling Land Rover model worldwide beating the world’s most awarded 4WD, the Discovery 3. The 2008 model will introduce some minor updates to further enhance the appeal of the Range Rover Sport.

The MY08 model will include 8 way passenger seat functionality to match driver’s seat and intergrated Continental Bluetooth phone enhancement as standard.

The interior has been further enhanced with new high quality finishes, and additional trim options. On the outside 3 new exterior colours have been added to the pallet.

Pricing remains unchanged for the TDV6 and Supercharged, however the TDV8 & 4.4L V8 receive a minimal $1,000 increase.

  5. R Narg says:

Since Fords big V8’s come with a recommendation to use regular grade gasoline, why must the Sport model’s V8 use premium???? Is it so different that it cannot be tuned to use regular?

  6. lol says:

    That’s not a serious question…is it?

Great looking car engine wonderful. Mine is now 2 1/2 years old and since day 1 have experieced repeated problems
severe knocking in front end ( most of front end replaced after about 6 months) now requires it again!
clock spring in steering relaced about 5 times eventually replaced most of the power steering most likley going to happen again according to the service people. Radio/ cd player stuffed after 2 years about to be replaced ( at last)will it happen again? numerous other minor but potentially expensive repeat problems when out of warranty. Be careful!

  13. not happy says:

We have a range rover sport with 20″ continental tyres. It has done 17000k and is not a year old. Just had a road worthy done, as we do not believe what land rover is telling us, on tyres and 3 did not pass. Land rover tell us it is just the way that particular tyre is wearing. The customer service is absolutely disgraceful. Has anyone had issues with their tyres.

  14. deMo says:

First of all u have Conti tyres no wonder they didnt pass, i work for Land Rover and to be honest U HAVE THE WRONG TYRES ON THEM, u sound like one of those rich ppl who think conti’s are the best, well they are but if u dont want to fork out the cash to spend on them every 4-6 months DONT BUY THEM

    • LB says:

      demo:
if you stick to the subject and understand how the continentals got on the car in the first place, you would understand that us innocent buyers are at the mercy of those who sell these 4WD’s and hold hand on heart and tell us they are the best and RR only put the best on their cars. I too have been confronted by the same issues as all those above who would be lucky to get any real mileage out of them. I have know replaced all 4 tyres one by one with the same problem, not wear, but the inside walls splitting through possible overheating. My car has done just under 40K and the first tyre was replaced at 8k. And do you think anyone at RR wants to know about it! Dont talk to me about rich ppl that has nothing to do with the problem and good on those who are.
