2016 Range Rover Evoque Ember coming to Australia, bigger screen joins range

The local 2016 Range Rover Evoque range will get an extra-special ‘Ember’ edition later this year, priced from $93,499 plus on-road costs.

A big new 10.2-inch display will also be offered in the wider range, after it was first introduced with the new Evoque Convertible.

The limited-edition Ember model features a ‘Santorini’ black and ‘Firenze’ red colourway, with a number of other tweaks added as an upgrade to the Td4 180 HSE Dynamic model on which it’s based.

Apart from the combination paint scheme, the Ember edition gets a number of Black Pack features, including satin black 20-inch alloy wheels, black exhaust finishers, black grille, darkened front and rear lighting, adaptive LED headlights, automatic headlight levelling and cornering lamps.

Silver-edged black Evoque badging at the rear and black Range Rover lettering at the front round out the exterior styling changes.

Inside, there’s black seats with contrast red stitching, extended leather trim to the fascia, along with gloss black highlights and combination black and red carpet mats.

The Ember also comes standard with the upgraded InControl Pro and 10.2-inch display.

All models in the local range previously featured an 8.0-inch display exclusively, but a new update means that HSE and HSE Dynamic models get the 10.2-inch display.

For Pure and SE models, the $3300 Tech Pack adds InControl Pro and the 10.2-inch display, along with 380W Meridian audio with 11 speakers including a subwoofer, and a surround-view camera.

The Ember, priced at $93,499 plus on-road costs, will be available to order over the three months June to August. Deliveries are set for the fourth quarter of 2016.

The rest of the Evoque range remains unchanged, having been updated in September last year.
