Car Advice Conundrum #5

August 3, 2007 by Matt Brogan

Yesterday our conundrum asked for the meaning of the Monaro’s legendary name.

The answer of course was ‘B’, high plateau or ‘high plain’.

Today’s question:

The USA’s now infamous Ford Explorer tyre failure saga resulted in how many recorded deaths?

a) 6
b) 60
c) 600

Answer in Monday’s edition – enjoy your weekend!

Hmmm, I choose none of the above :)

From what I have read it’s between 250-300 deaths.

Yeah i think its none of the above, i’m thinking around 100 to 120 so far to date. Wow how the numbers can vary. Mean while ford tries to blame Firestone, no doubt the shyte tyres contribute but a dodgy handling SUV wouldnt help either. Similar to the problems the first A-Class Merc had where it would just flip over even without a blown tyre.
