Chery FV2030 concept teased ahead of Beijing motor show

Chinese carmaker Chery isn't known for having the most thrilling looks in the business, but that may be about to change if a new concept bound for the upcoming Beijing motor show is any indication.

The concept, dubbed FV2030, has been previewed this week with the release of a highly stylised teaser sketch, hinting at a high-riding coupe-like offering.

Scheduled for an April 25 unveiling, the FV2030 sports a futuristic design with its sleek body, tapering roofline and large wheels.

The two-tier front fascia is flanked by a razor-thin headlights, large air-intakes and a front bumper trim that isn’t dissimilar to the mostly cosmetic bash plates found on numerous SUVs.

Online reports suggest the concept will have an all-electric drivetrain and feature a 3D holographic display in the cabin.

While the FV2030 is just a show car, it likely points to a new design direction for the Chinese manufacturer’s future line-up.
