Toyota Camry 2007

Toyota launched the new Camry on the weekend. Not much detail is available at the moment, but I have to say, from the picture provided by Toyota, the car doesn’t look very different from the model that it is replacing.

“I am confident that this is the best car ever built by Toyota in Australia,” Toyota CEO, Mr Okada said.

Later in the year Toyota plans to launch the Toyota Aurion, the car Toyota hopes will compete with the likes of the Falcon and Commodore. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

I am much interested why you commented that the new camry doesn’t look much different then the current model. As boring a Camry can be - each model is radically different unlike the Commodore which since the VT really hasn’t changed that much at all considering the different models Even the VE isn’t a whole lot different. Look at Ford - the EF/EL, AU and now the BA all look radically different. The Commodore may be a good looking and comfortable car - but it will never match a toyota for engineering, quality and reliability.
