Have a Liberty and love it, never a problem, had an old wrangler before that and it would just keep going and going no matter what the hell was wrong with it (over 25 years old and trashed by who knows how many previous owners).
Also had a Grand Cherokee from the first issue year 1994 and sold that a few years ago to get the Liberty because the transmission was finally needing a rebuild after we would go heavy 4WD'ing on weekends in Colorado, so I'd buy another Jeep in a heartbeat, but NOT one that has the Totally Integrated Power Control Module.
I don't know why they didn't recall all vehicles that had them, because our PT Cruiser is 25000 miles, 3 years old, 15 days out of warranty and the TICM died yesterday.

Chrysler seem to want to do the right thing though and honor a warranty repair (it a $1000 job), I'm waiting on the final go-ahead sent to the dealership now.

Give me a good old fuse box and relays any day. That TICM is just bull twaddle. One tiny thing like headlights go and the whole $800 module MUST be replaced.

Hi Tony, I have had 3 Jeeps. Two Grand Cherokee's and the latest a Wrangler for my wife. Honestly we have done heaps of beaches, 4x4 tracks, sand dunes and tough coastal head lands all in the south west of WA. Never has any of our Jeeps had a drama. I am not a Jeep nut but favour the vehicle for its character, reliability and service thru our local agent. Never have I been disappointed in any of our Jeeps and back up service. Sure they have some "querks" but deliver with character when things are tough. I am trying to get my wife out of her Wrangler and can't. She loves it and it looks like we will have to get the latest model to keep the peace! All icons divide opinion.

Wouldn't touch a Jeep with a barge poll. I heard they full apart after a few years. Not sure on the resale values either, that could be worse still.

Please let me know if you are a Jeep owner and whether they are reliable and hold together!
