As i have said in previous Hyundai Limousine posts, they need to bring this downunder to compete with the local big boy (Caprice) maybe then Holden will raise its standards and offer us luxury equipment levels as all their sales will be stolen away by this true limousine. Cant believe how much success Hyundai is having with their large cars. If this is the future of Korean cars then by all means i would buy one.

Hyundai did consider launching a premium brand like Toyota did but found that the cost will be prohibitive. So they decided to bring out the Genesis first to see the consumers' response and introduce a new brad if it gets favourable market response.

Looks like they will have to do it very soon, because the Genesis, its very first rear-wheel drive has been not only selling well in the US but has been voted the North American Car of the Year. Even Lexus has never received the award although they have been longing for it over the past decades.

Hyundai needs to release an upscale brand in the similiar vein with what Toyota did with Lexus. Otherwise they are just having illusions of grandeur (pun intended).
