I also have a mazda bravo 1999 model with the same whining sound in 3rd gear, its done 215,000kms. just recently im getting a grinding sound when i release the clutch, sounds terrible.trading it in for a new bt-50 boss pack this weekend

My Mazda Bravo,1999 model,has just turned over 200,000k’s. It still handles and drives like I bought it yesterday. The only gripe I have is that the gearbox has a whine in 3rd gear. The noise has been there for the last 100,000k’s. I think it was dodgy oil from a service that has damaged a bearing. Other than that, my ute is Magic. Just get in and turn the key.

I would recommend a Mazda to anybody without hesitation.

Great all round value for money ute. my 2008 model now has 60000kms on it and 600km to the tank every time tows my race car no worries and you can pass hiluxs and navaras at the blink of an eye. its just a well built car like you would expect from Mazda.

I had a 2005 Bravo, great vehicle had no problems whatso ever in the 5 yrs we had it and have just bought a 2010 BT50. Had a look at everything else on the market and this is great value for the $$.

Ride handle and brake like a landcruiser for 23k?

Its a work truck Pete. What do you suggest? I want to cart a ton and a half of whatever? Put it in the boot of a commodore maybe?

Anyone know when a new model Bt-50 is coming out? It arrived in 2007 so I would have thought the current model would almost be finished its run.

Mines 07 52k best vehicle ive owned. 12 mths on this lease and into another one. I know plenty of ex Hilux owners who have been converted. !!

ive got a 2005 mazda bravo with the 4l v6 and ill tell ya that car is so fast and so smooth on acceleration, i took it all the way ip to the goldcoast from sydney she went like a champ, and the handeling is actualy very nice ( i compair this to my old car a ef xr6 ) all im saying is dont give it to hard a time they are a nice car.
but i dont like the current design looks to soft.
