I'm a bit late to this, I know, but the ads in question are still up all over the place and I can't stand them. This article raised some good points. Click here to see my own discussion of the ad and why it is so poor:

i think this add is stupid not only does it only target male young male drivers when every one speeds at some point. It also displays no speeding in it as a burn out is not speeding nor do you need to speed to run though a crossing or speed to get your car sideways around a corner. Just last week i was over taken while driving into the kangaroo vally in nsw on a 180 deg turn over double lines by a full licened driver and he only just missed a car on the other side of the corner. I also heard somewhere most crashes happen under the speed limit within 5 km of your home i think they just need to start doing advanced driver training from the day a person starts to drive.

HOLY CRAP! They expect men to have 20 inch dicks, only horses have anything close to that.

They want boys to be like 13 year old girls. The way they look down at them selves when in the shower, (or if they abit horney!) Looking forward to themselves having SEX for the first time seeing their boyfriend's dick and not being a VIRGIN any more wanting bigger boobs. That's just sick! Men are not like that. Just like touching in the right place.

I can't belive I just found this post. When I went to Sydney, they had a segment on ACA about the AD and I saw it later on TV.

How dare they say a person in a Falcon has a small cock, but I agree with the driver of the VL has a small one - verry microscopic to be pacific.

I stumbled upon this website accidentally, and was quite surprised. Anyone I have spoken to in the last few months since that ad campaign came out who has not been an arrogant idiot has approved of the ad! Maybe the ads are doing their job and hitting a bit close to home for all of the people who have a problem with them?

As far as unfair generalisation toward males, as someone else said, the different insurance costs speak for themselves. Not saying that others don't speed, but there's definitely a majority there.

And the other issues relating to females and dangerous driving? Everyone knows that applying makeup while driving is dangerous, but show me some statistics that would put it on a level with speeding or the kind of reckless driving referred to in this ad?

When it comes to mobile phones, what makes females more likely to be the offenders rather than high-powered male business associates, who use hands free and think it's ok despite the fact that it has ben proven to be just as dangerous?

Maybe you should check your facts (and your grammar) before making these kinds of arrogant accusations against an ad campaign that's trying to save people's lives!

Thats right 351XT, its perfect statistics to show that Speeding is not the underlying factor for everything that goes wrong on our roads.

while im not a fan of speeding in local areas, the NT government has introduced a 130km limit on the highways this year and doubled speeding fines. so far the road toll has increased to 26 from 19 this time last year.
common sense needs to prevail, there is a place for speeding, just not in your local neighbourhood
