Porsche Cayenne recalled for loose clip

Porsche has issued a precautionary recall for Cayenne SUV models built between 2011 and 2016.

The recall notes that a circlip (a type of fastening ring) could be loose on the bearing bracket for pedals.

A full 6168 vehicles are listed in the recall for the Australian market, as part of a wider global recall for 409,577 Cayenne vehicles in total.

There have been no reports of the clip failing, and Porsche has requested the vehicles return to an authorised workshop as a preventative measure.

Porsche will contact owners directly, and the free inspection and repair will take less than an hour.
