2015 Subaru Forester XT and 2015-2016 Subaru WRX recalled for air intake fix
Subaru Australia has issued a recall notice for 1941 vehicles from its turbocharged 2015 Forester XT SUV and 2015-16 WRX sports sedan lines.
The Japanese manufacturer reports that affected vehicles may have faulty air intake ducts that could develop cracks.
In the event that the intake duct cracks, the vehicle's engine could stall, posing a potential hazard to drivers and other road users.
Other issues that could arise as a result of the cracked intake duct include lowered engine power and rough idling.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by mail once parts become available.
The recall repair work will be provided at no charge.
