2017 Porsche Panamera wagon and interior spied

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo concept of 2012 is on its way to production, as these new spy photos reveal. Clear shots of the big Porsche’s dash controls have also surfaced this week.

The new 2017 Porsche Panamera has already been spied testing a number of times in fastback saloon form, but these new photos confirm that the range will grow to include a more practical wagon variant.

As with its spied four-door coupe sibling, the Panamera wagon will wear an evolutionary look, introducing a more cohesive and refined look than that of its polarising predecessor.

Both variants will be built on the Volkswagen group’s versatile MSB platform, developed for front-engined rear- and all-wheel-drive cars.

The new Panamera will likely be offered with V6 and V8 petrol engine options, a V6 turbo-diesel, and a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

This latest batch of spy photos also brings an up-close-and-personal look at the new Panamera’s cabin, revealing a new gear shifter, new capacitive touch controls and toggle switches, and a large tablet-like display set above new low-set air vents.

Watch for more on the new Panamera to come in the months ahead, and catch our ongoing coverage at the links below.

Expect the new Panamera to make its global debut later this year.
