2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta revealed through leaked images

The facelifted Giulietta first appeared as a camouflaged prototype in October last year, but the update was made official earlier this month when a launch event invitation surfaced online.

Changes to the Giulietta’s front-end styling includes a lightly updated grille design, a revised lower bumper and intake look, and revised headlight internals.

The Giulietta’s familiar looping-LED tail-lamp design remains unchanged, but new alloy wheels can be seen at the sides.

Shots of a white hot-hatch model, sans clover, also confirm reports that the Quadrifoglio name will now be reserved for the Giulia and other more premium, more intense models.

The former Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde is now expected to be called the Veloce.

The current Giulietta is now into its sixth year of production, but this coming facelift suggests that we can expect Alfa Romeo to continue production for another couple of years.

A rear-wheel-drive replacement for the Giulietta has been reported, although its production and launch timing have yet to be made official.

Watch for an official unveiling of this updated model to occur at the Geneva motor show next week.

Australia

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia has confirmed that the updated Giulietta will hit Australia in the third quarter of this year, with further details to be revealed closer to launch.
