2016 Holden Captiva pricing and specifications
Pricing and details for the 2016 Holden Captiva range have been released, following the updated SUV line’s unveiling in December.
As revealed last year, the newly refreshed 2016 Captiva range has been streamlined to focus on the model previously known as the Captiva 7, with Holden working some of the now retired Captiva 5’s value into the mix.
For 2016, the Captiva range kicks off with the five-seat Captiva LS, priced from $25,990 drive-away. By comparison, the Captiva range’s last update, in early 2014, saw the Captiva 5 open at $25,990 and the Captiva 7 at $29,990 - both before on-road costs.
A seven-seat version of the LS is available from $29,990 drive-away, while the up-spec LT and LTZ models are offered with seven seats exclusively.
Engines available with the 2016 Captiva family are familiar fare: there’s a 123kW/230Nm 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine at the entry end, while 135kW/400Nm 2.2-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder and 190kW/288Nm 3.0-litre SIDI V6 petrol engines round out the range.
The 2.4 petrol engine is matched to front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission as standard in the LS, with a six-speed auto available as an option.
Upgrading to the LT and LTZ models moves you to the 3.0-litre petrol V6 with all-wheel drive and six-speed auto, while the 2.2 diesel is available as an option on those models.

Rear storage in the five-seater (and in the seven-seaters with the third row folded) is listed at 465 litres, while folding all rear seats increases that to 930 litres. Folding the front seat as well, grows capacity to 1565 litres.
Braked and unbraked towing capacity is listed at 1500/750kg for the 2.4-litre models, while the 2.2 diesel and 3.0 petrol both list 2000kg braked and 750kg unbraked.
The Captiva range is offered with a three-year/100,000km warranty, including Holden Roadside Assistance. Extended warranty packs are available, ranging from an additional 12mth/100,000km for $1890 to an additional 36mth/175,000km for $3180.
