Fast Car vs. Really Fast Car

July 26, 2007 by George Skentzos

To demonstrate just how ridiculously quick a Formula 1 car really is, Fifth Gear has pitted the BMW M5 (373kW V10) against a BMW Williams Team F1 car (552kW V8).

The results may shock you, that is the results of an F1 car on Tiff – I think he wet himself.

It’s an 04 F1 car because I think this episode of 5th Gear was filmed in 05 to air at the beginning of 06.

Good to watch but hardly suprising. The F1 has more power…. less weight. Thats going to translate into a faster car.

First time I have seen this .
Tiff would have been stoked getting that drive, he has been a BMW nut for years .

900HP stuffed in a car that weighs 600 kilos and a chassis that took 250,000 hours to design and a further 250,000 hours to manufacture. It will stop in 1.9 seconds from 200 kmh to 0 and in just 55 metres .

The pro drivers typically have a resting heart rate of 60 beats per minute but at key moments during qualifying and the race it can reach 210 beats per minute – a level that could be fatal to a person not in peak physical condition. MMM wonder what Tiffs got up too.

Vicki must have been having a real hard go to cook the brakes in the M5 though . Love how she screams when she gets excited.
