Behind the scenes with Ferrari at the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour:: Photo Gallery Special
With the buzz of the 2016 Bathurst 12 Hour slowly tapering off and, conversely, hype for this weekend's Clipsal 500 ramping up, we are finding it hard to let go of what was frankly, a phenomenal weekend of motorsport at Australia's famed Mount Panorama circuit.
CarAdvice attended this year's event as guests of Ferrari. And while Dave got to lap the hallowed Bathurst blacktop in a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the two of us had the opportunity to follow the progress of the two 458 GT3s of Vicious Rumour Racing and Maranello Motorsport throughout the race weekend.
Although neither outfit was successful in their bid to take out the 2016 title, it didn’t taint the experience of being immersed in GT racing and in the passionate culture that accompanies it. To follow two racing teams - two Ferrari racing teams no less - so closely was an insightful experience into what actually goes into making a race team function.
