The updated and facelifted 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatch will make its debut on February 24, ahead of an Australian launch set for the third quarter of this year.
Very little about the refreshed Italian hatch has been made official, although an event invitation issued overnight suggests that a new-look grille and bumper design will be among the styling tweaks.
Alfa Romeo’s redesigned badge, revealed with last year’s unveiling of the powerful Giulia Quadrifoglio sedan, is also shown in the image with its new silver trim and simplified graphics.
The updated Giulietta hatch was last spied testing around five months ago, although heavy camouflaged obscured the finer details of its makeover.
It appears likely however that the front-end tweaks will make up the bulk of the small hatch’s styling changes, with the body and rear elements – including the long tail lamps and their ribbon-like LED internals – largely untouched, although minor tweaks to the rear bumper look likely.
Watch for the refreshed Giulietta to appear later this month, and then again at March’s Geneva motor show.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Australia has confirmed that the updated Giulietta will hit Australia in the third quarter of this year, with further details to be revealed closer to launch.
The current Giulietta is now into its sixth year of production, but this coming facelift suggests that can expect Alfa Romeo to continue production for another couple of years.
A rear-wheel-drive replacement for the Giulietta has been reported, although its production and launch timing have yet to be made official.
