Living in Thailand for over a year now, I have succumbed to the jazz. I drove a Lexus GS300 and Audi TT when I was last in the UK. Now I rate the Jazz for comfort and quietness as well as economy.

Not sure I would be seen dead in one back in Blighty. But out here its considered very smart.. go figure??

haonda have been doing these super-economy engines for years.No need for smelly diesel or complex hybrids

I remember the civic VEI, the engine in that was pure genuis, Barry Lake Motor-Manual tested it, thrashed the hell out of it to see the most fuel he could use [ie opposite to driving for max. economy] came back with a figure of 5.1L/100km, which is stunning really, driven with frugal [what a word:-)] he got it under 3L/100km…..Brilliant!

I’d go for the new Mazda 2. It looks great and probably the best car in it’s class to drive.

I think the Yaris is a hideous looking thing in comparison to to the Jazz… although I am not a fan of either names.. Jazz.. Yaris.. comeon…

4.1L/100km in a car that can comfortably accommodate 5 full-size adults…. when you’re on a good thing, stick to it. Well done Honda, the Jazz is the ultimate suburban runabout.
