2016 Range Rover facelift spy photos

The facelifted Range Rover has been spied by our spies in the snow-strewn wintry north of Sweden.

Jaguar Land Rover has fitted the prototype above with camouflage tape below the car's belt line. Despite that, the well received luxury off-roader looks as though its mid-life makeover might be a relatively hard to spot affair

Up front, the changes include new a pattern for the grille, and a new front bumper with a subtly revised lower air dam and intakes.

Along the flanks, it looks as though the company has ditched the "gills" built into the Rangie's front doors. The large vertical strakes aren't apparent underneath the car's disguise, but it's possible that Land Rover has hidden them especially well to mislead us.

With camouflage leading all the way to the tail-lights, it's possible that updated Range Rover will also sport revised rubbing strips and other detail changes.

There are no apparent changes to the car's rear, at least on this car, but Jaguar Land Rover could be using this vehicle primarily to test mechanical modifications, with other, as yet unseen, vehicles sporting cosmetic changes, such as different headlight and tail-light graphics.
