Mitsubishi Triton and ASX concept cars to be unveiled at 2016 Geneva motor show

The 2016 Geneva motor show is fast approaching, and brands are putting out teasers left, right and centre. Here's one from Mitsubishi Motors, which will show off concept, show car versions of the Triton (L200) and ASX at the Swiss show.

The shadowy image above does little to offer an idea of what to expect of these Mitsubishi concept models, aside from a set of orange-rimmed wheels, orange mirror caps, orange wheel-arch tips, orange front bumper inserts and a roof rack system. The models are said to wear "a striking designers' outfit".

But through a bit of photograph manipulation, the below image gives a slightly better idea of what to expect:

The company claims the two new show cars will be aimed at "urban adventurers", with the Japanese maker seemingly trying to de-bling the front end of its updated 2017 ASX, which debuted late in 2015.

The image above clearly shows the Triton sporting a slightly revised front bumper with the orange-rimmed fog-light inserts helping to break up the bulk of the current bumper.

Little else is known about the two concept models at this stage - but it seems unlikely this will be the brand's touted foray into premium SUV territory.

Stay tuned for more as it comes to hand.
