Lamborghini Reventon Roadster revealed
September 11, 2009 by George Skentzos
Lamborghini has inadvertently revealed the open air sibling to its highly exclusive and equally expensive Reventon model, after the official gallery found its way on to the web.
Like the Coupe version which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show two years ago, the Reventon Roadster features the same stealth-fighter inspired design.
The Reventon Roadster will be powered by the same 6.5-litre V12 engine found in the Coupe, developing peak power of 478kW and 660Nm.
This is coupled with a six-speed E-gear transmission and all-wheel-drive as standard.
Performance should match its aggressive appearance, accelerating from zero to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 340km/h.
With all 20 Reventon Coupes finding an owner, it is safe to assume the expected 1.2 million Euro price tag for the Roadster won’t be a problem.
Full details and specifications will be released when the car is officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

If only those panels deflected RADAR and LIDAR haha.
I love Lamborghini, they’re one of my favourite brands but am I alone in thinking that most of what they do these days is getting boringly predictable? Of course there was going to be a Reventon roadster and of course it was going to look like this. I want them to bring excitement back and although their cars look brilliant, it’s time for a new design language, perhaps the one from the Estoque, a car that certainly should have gone into production and also happened to look like an evil shifty-eyed alligator with massive air intakes. I think not putting the Estoque into production is one of the biggest mistakes they’ll ever make.
Very true, I was shocked when they said they weren’t making the Estoque.
I want to get on lamborghini
