Mazda CX-9 update due here this month
Mazda Australia has confirmed it will add an all-new range-topping model to its upgraded CX-9 line-up due to hit Australian shores this month.
To coincide with the release of its face-lifted Mazda CX-9, the 'Grand Touring' model will offer a high level of equipment to the seven-seat SUV range.
The model will sit atop the CX-9 Classic and CX-9 Luxury models respectively, two models that have proved popular sellers since their launch here in 2007.
The CX-9 range continues to be powered by a refined version of the same 3.7-litre V6 (petrol) engine which delivers 204kW/367Nm.
All CX-9 models are exclusively equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission driving all wheels via Mazda's Active Torque Split AWD system.
Fuel economy has now been improved to just 12.2 litres per 100km (combined average) and emissions remain compliant with Euro Stage IV regulations.
Pricing and full specifications will be released in the coming weeks.
