The best hope for SAAB would be to look back to thier original core values rather than be a high end niche player to get viable volumes . The Swedish governmet would need to draft a law giving swedish creditors preference and place SAAB into receivership to serve thier national interest ahead of GM's global corporate greed and tricks. If GM are genuine with the wish to sell SAAB it may even help, unless its just a ploy to retain assets of the GM EMPIRE while they recover from being insolvent.

Yes GM screwed Saab over, my wife had a 9-5 several years ago, nothing but trouble and I know it wasn't a one off, cause many of the rental fleet 9-5 had similar problems.

Koenigsegg will get it right.

Saab always made reasonably good cars its just that GM's bean counters took all their funding and poured it into trucks with 8 liter engines. SAAB can finally start living up to their "born from Jets" claim. the upcoming 9-5 with 2.8 liter turbo looks really interesting.
