Yes, it was a Peugeot 406 HDI. Taylor, along with wife Helen and a Guinness Book observer drove 2348.3 km on just 67.69 litres of diesel over 36 hours at an average speed of 65 km/h and 2.88 litres per 100 kms or 97.96 miles per gallon.

Now what exactly is that supposed to mean. In the same vein i30 owners can say that they are not spoiled brats like you guys are. Not everybody have more money to spend on VW. VW might be a better car but better looking than i30, it certainly ain’t. Similarly, I don’t find Toyota Corolla or Ford Focus looks better than i30 either and Mazda 3 – Everybody keep saying what hot hatch it is . It looks f**king ugly with that stupid grin on its face. As far it plastics go, it is quite good looking as well. I find Holden Cruze and Honda Civic better looking. Drive wise, i30 is better than Holden Cruze and Similar to Honda Civic and Ford Focus. Same way as you guys hate and berate Hyundai, in the same way I don’t like Ford either. Everybody has a choice. Don’t be prejudiced and give subjective opinions and berate other people choices to feel superior. I apologize for my rude comments though but I just wanted to set the record straight.

A guy has driven an I30 from Adelaide to Sydney. He still had fuel left and so continued up to Newcastle before it was empty. Brilliant little rollers.
