2010 Ford Fiesta Sedan – Spy Pics

September 3, 2009 by Matt Brogan

Although we’ve already seen quite a few images of the upcoming Ford Fiesta Sedan from China, our spy photographers have this morning sent us these pics of the US spec version undergoing warm weather testing in Europe.

With its North Amercian-spec grille and front fascia the Fiesta Sedan will have different front and rear bumpers from those seen on the cars it has shown elsewhere.

It is believed there will also be some minor interior detail changes when the Fiesta Sedan is released in the US early next year.

  1. Motorhead says:

From those pics the back looks a bit bloated which is a shame as the hatch looks great.
Ford seems to have trouble with the design of it’s euro sedans the Focus & Mondeo look far better as hatches or wagons then they do as sedans.

  2. Tom says:

I think it looks better than most of its ilk, ie Barina sedan, Yaris sedan. I can’t think of a single small hatchback turn sedan design that doesn’t look a little bloated at the back. But some markets really like sedans for some reason, so car manufacturers will keep making these mini-sedans.

    • Big Oil says:

Even sedans based on slightly larger hatchbacks don’t manage to look quite right. The rear of the Jetta looks a little over-extended, for example, while the proportions of the Golf are just fine.

  3. Toxic_Horse says:

Anything looks better than the yaris sedan

  4. PeugoetDriver says:

Never said this about a car before, but I think it looks ‘cute’. This car will be very popular with North American women.

  5. Yanzo says:

small hatches look stupid as sedans. this, the yaris and have you seen the swift as a sedan? ugly

  6. Andrew says:

That does look ridiculous… To Yanzo; Swift as a sedan? Where? Or are you talking about the SX4 sedan, that does look ridiculous as well…

  7. UK says:

The Swift sedan is just available in India
    Go search “Swift Dzire”
    Cheers

  8. VBE says:

Typical uglification of cars for the USDM.

  9. Minnow says:

Did Ford just take the Daewoo Lanos sedans tailights?

  10. Joe says:

What an ugly car!!!Hatch back is way much better

  11. bir6y says:

What is the point of a small sedean? Honestly, they should only be sold as a hatch, it best suits the small car segment. I used to loath hatchbacks, but I have come around and now actually own one. With the Fiesta, some bigger wheels would make it look less bloated imho, specially at the back.

    • Delta says:

There will always be someone like the look of a mini sedan. Look at the number of Yaris sedans sold and you will understand why they make such a small sedan.
